lemeeni gives a company a team of AI colleagues, the lemmings, that prepare its marketing for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. People at the company approve what is made; approved posts are then published to the accounts the company connected.
This page says what information lemeeni handles, in particular what it receives from Meta when a company connects its Facebook Page and Instagram account, what it is used for, how it is kept and how to have it removed.
Who decides what happens with the information
lemeeni works on behalf of the companies that use it. A company decides which accounts to connect, what is published and who in its team has access. We handle the information in order to provide the service to that company.
This website
This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies' servers. The only thing kept in your browser is your choice of light or dark appearance. As with any website, the service that hosts it processes technical information such as your IP address in order to deliver the pages.
What we receive from Meta
When someone at a company connects its Facebook Page and its Instagram professional account through Meta's sign-in, we receive:
- the name, username, picture and id of the Pages and Instagram accounts that person chose, the permissions they granted, and an access token for those accounts;
- for the posts we published: their id, their link and their numbers (reach, views, likes, comments, shares, saves);
- the account's own numbers: reach, views, interactions, followers, and the summaries of its audience that Meta gives in aggregate (cities, countries, age ranges, gender, the hours followers are online). These summaries are not about any one person;
- only where a company has switched on replies for its own posts, a feature in limited testing: the comments people leave on those posts and the messages they send to the account, with the Instagram id and username of the person who wrote, and whether they follow the account.
What we use it for
- to publish the posts people at the company approved, at the time the company chose;
- to show the company how its posts and its account are doing, and to let its AI colleagues explain those numbers and plan what to make next;
- where replies are switched on: to answer the people who asked, in a comment or a message, for something a post offered, and to give them what was promised.
We do not sell this information. We do not use it for advertising, to build profiles of individuals, or to train AI models. We do not write to anyone who did not write first.
Who else handles it
The company whose account it is sees it in its own workspace. We use service providers to host lemeeni and to run the AI models its colleagues think with; they handle the information only to provide those services to us. We may have to disclose information where the law requires it. Nobody else receives it.
How it is kept
Access tokens are encrypted and are never shown in the apps. Each company's information is kept apart from every other company's.
The record of published posts and the account's numbers are kept for as long as the company uses lemeeni. An access token is deleted the moment its account is disconnected. What people wrote to an account, and their Instagram id, are kept only while the campaign they answered is running, and for no more than 30 days after it ends.
Removing it
Disconnecting an account in the app (Profile, then Accounts) deletes its access token at once, and nothing more is published or read. You can also remove lemeeni in Facebook's settings (Settings & privacy, Settings, Business integrations).
Everything about a company, including the record of its past posts, is deleted when the company asks for its workspace to be deleted. If you commented on a post or wrote to an account that uses lemeeni and want what you wrote removed, ask that company or write to us.
Your rights
If you are in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to its use, and to complain to your data protection authority. To use these rights, write to us or to the company whose account you wrote to.
Changes to this page
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. When a change matters to the companies that use lemeeni, we tell them.
Who we are and how to reach us
If you use lemeeni through your company, you can also ask the person who administers its workspace.
